Dr. Maud Bélanger obtained her medical degree from Laval University in Quebec in 2005. In 2010, she completed her residency in plastic surgery at the University of Montreal. Subsequently, she continued her subspecialty in microsurgery, breast surgery and gender affirmation surgery at the renowned University of UZ Ghent in Belgium.

Before devoting herself entirely to private practice, Dr. Bélanger practiced at the Hôtel-Dieu de Saint-Jérôme. She now operates at the Centre Métropolitain de Chirurgie. Dr. Bélanger is also a professor in charge of clinical teaching for residents in training and is responsible for the aesthetic component of the plastic surgery program committee of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montreal. She is also actively involved in the microsurgical training of plastic surgery residents and in the gender-affirming surgery training of residents and specialists in multiple disciplines. Dr. Bélanger is a meticulous, friendly, authentic and dedicated surgeon. She strives for excellence in everything she does. She is often described as an artist by her patients. With the goal of continuing to improve her practice and the well-being of her patients, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in excellence in patient safety and quality of health care at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore in the United States.
